the wait: a necessary passage

They asked, they questioned, they prodded ... How do I get to Bethlehem ... my immediate answer was ... It's a process. We don't want you to be standing out in the cold ... while you WAIT ... so, first see ... one of our hostesses ... there, to be seated. Oh, By the way ... we have arranged ... some entertainment for you ... during YOUR waiting period. It will not be long after YOUR waiting ... that you'll be given further directions  ... as you journey to Bethlehem ... one step at a time. 

Be humble and confident in your waiting ... that's what HIS word tells us ...

Being confident of this, that HE who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

a modern day journey to Jesus: Bethlehem Marketplace!

Last Sunday night my Pastor (Joe Vinson) said it ...  all in one sentence. They had products to sell and the promise of the birth of Jesus ... that was their HOPE. And it was so super clear to me ... in that one moment. We have the very same HOPE. Jesus is coming again. And the Marketplace is Global due to the World Wide Web. So much to be Thankful for this Christmas. So much HOPE! I've taken so many photos this week ... but this one is my absolute favorite.

When you walk-through our recreation of Bethlehem Marketplace, you'll find a baby boy who is not the Christ Child, who is not Jesus, who is not the messiah, who is not the way of hope. It is my hope and prayer, that the moment your eyes rest upon the baby boy. Is the moment you begin to celebrate Christmas in a new way. Cause ... the manger is empty ... the tomb is empty. Jesus lives & he is HOPE.
